The Songs
I like to write music...a lot. I wrote my first song at age 7 using the open strings of the guitar...because I couldn't play chords yet! Todya, I compose on piano, guitar, and have started using Logic as my DAW of choice.
I specialize in writting radio ready, singer/songwriter AAA pop and instrumental ambient pop. All my songs have very strong melodic hooks.
My music has been compared to Jeff Buckley, Duncan Sheik, Sheryl Crow...and Moby or Boards of Canada
My songs have a spiritual aspect. Often I don't know what that is until reflecting back on the lyrics. Without intending it, I often write lyrics that can be interpreted either as singing about a lover or God.
Equipment
Right now I record and compose in Logic on a Mac G5 using a Manely pre-amp. My main guitars include a 1968 Gibson SG Jr. electric, Gibson J-45 acoustic, Peavy EVH electric.
Live Performance
I have played over a 1000 lives shows in clubs throughout California, often openning for national touring acts.
Teachers
I have been lucky enough to study with some stunning guitarists. Tuck Andrews, world famous jazz guitarist, of Tuck and Patti, and David Richter, award winning classical guitarist who studied with Segovia.
